Irina Zubareva was born into a family of professional musicians. She started to perform as a singer in her father’s band. She received her graduate degree in Music from the Saint Petersburg Academy of Art and Music and served as the conductor of the choir.

In 1992 Irina worked in the “Jazz StandArt” band and later in "Silk Stockings Jazz" with whom she recorded the album "I Love You". Since that moment Irina has performed in the main Jazz clubs of Saint Petersburg. Since 2001,she has toured Finland, Netherlands, Germany, Malta, the Dominican Republic, and also worked as a singer with a band or as jazz duo on cruise ships.

Her interest in Brazilian music inspired her to put together and lead the group “One Band Samba”, with whom she regularly performed at the leading venues of St. Petersburg.

Since 2013, Irina has been living in NYC where she has performed with esteemed artists such as Hendrik Meurkens with his original music at the Iridium club, the Art Lillard big band in Iridium club and Zinc bar. Irina Zubareva can be heard weekly as a duet with pianist Misha Tsiganov, Jill McCarron, Roman Ivanov, Art Hirahara, Tadataka Unno, Dmitri Kolesnik, Itaiguara Brandão, Portinho, Sasha Ratmansky, Paul Bollenbak, Ilya Lushtak, Ron Jackson and many more.
